Thought the Paving Season was over? Think again!

Whilst pointing in the wet is a non-starter with cement, EASYJoint is specially formulated to be applied in the wet. The clue is in the name, EASYJoint all weather jointing compound.

EASYJoint is designed specially for the challenges of the Great British weather. There are more and more landscapers switching over to EASYJoint because of the time saving benefits and the fact rain will not stop the job getting done, in fact we actively encourage the use of water in the application (the wetter the better).

How does EASYJoint work?

Water actually prevents EASYJoint from curing rather than causing it to cure, that is exactly why it can be applied in the rain. It doesn’t inhibit the application process, wetting the EASYJoint simply makes the EASYJoint into a slurry and as a by-product of that process becomes more workable.

EASYJoint is fast!
EASYJoint can be up to 20 times faster than traditional cement pointing, saving in labour costs and helping to get the job done on time. EASYJoint makes a huge difference to large scale projects.

EASYJoint top tip
Any unused product can be reused, all you have to do is place it back into the tub and submerge with at least 50mm of water.

When should you not use the wet method, can I apply EASYJoint dry?
EASYJoint can be applied dry (or virtually dry). We recommend you have sealed the paving before applying EASYJoint dry, the natural linseed oil within EASYJoint can be absorbed by sensitive stone, sealing prevents the oils from absorbing into the stone.

If you have used a strong base mix (5:1 or stronger) this prevents water draining through the EASYJoint and away through the base.  EASYJoint requires air to cure, if it doesn’t fully dry it will not cure hard, therefore the minimum use of water is required for the dry method.

When installing a Domestic Driveway and a stronger base mix is required, the paving or setts will be submerged by at least 50% into the bedding mix, allowing the base mix to structurally hold the driveway together. (EASYJoint does not form a structural part of the driveway).
