Installing a driveway using EASYGrid

A typical driveway installation using ground stabilising reinforcement grid

Azpects' latest video features a typical driveway installation with EASYGrid from ground excavation to completion.

In our video, the ground is excavated and covered with a geotextile before graded crushed stone is added and compacted using a heavy roller. A further geotextile layer is added before the grid is snapped together and filled with soil.

The geotextile layers prevent different sub-layers sinking into one another and mixing together over time. This ensures the structural stability of the base is maintained. Whilst EASYGrid is compressively strong, it requires a strong base to prevent it from sinking into the soil.

The whole process including labour, materials and waste removal cost less than £2000 for 50 square metres of driveway (excellent value for a drive capable of housing six vehicles).
