Meet David Hobrough

Meet David Hobrough, Senior Field Sales Coordinator

David is the supportive back bone of our nationwide sales team, helping our Account Managers to help more stockists and landscapers.

David Hobrough’s career in the landscaping industry started with a Saturday job at a busy builders’ merchants whilst at college. His then manager, Jeff Carter, would go on to become our very own Technical Support Manager.

“You meet the nicest people in builders’ merchants!” jokes David. “Jeff was a great boss and really instilled in me a passion for helping builders and landscapers to get the job done.”

After college, David began working full time in the merchants and, after a sabbatical to travel Thailand and Australia, he returned to become supervisor within the landscaping department.

“Jeff joined Azpects and later approached me to ask if I’d like to apply for a role supporting their nationwide sales team. Given the great reputation Azpects’ products had gained amongst landscapers, I was very keen” states David.

After a couple of rigorous interviews with the senior management team, David joined Azpects in 2018 as our Senior Field Sales Coordinator.

“My role is to assist our external sales team with anything they need day-to-day. This ranges from processing orders, to arranging meetings and providing any information they need” states David.

With a team of seven Account Managers and several Sales Agents, David is kept busy ensuring they can serve and support as many stockists as possible across the UK and Northern Ireland.

“We’re a product-based company with a huge focus on customer service. Our whole team are very focused on giving support and coming up with new ways to make landscapers lives easy” concludes David.

In addition, David is also involved in marketing, helping with the design and delivery of point-of-sale, brochures and other materials to support stockists and landscapers.

With a 6-month old son, David loves spending time exploring the region with his family and has a passion for mastering smartphone photography. His love of football has most recently been rivalled by an interest in horse racing, though he admits his ability to pick a winner still needs some work!
