We have mentioned the perils of brick acid, it’s an excellent cement remover but should never be used to clean natural stone. It can bring iron deposits out of stone which leads to rust, it can also bleach and damage the pores of the stone.

What does the bicarbonate of soda paste add to the process?

The bicarbonate of soda paste is applied to help neutralise any remaining acid on the surface of the stone. This reduces the likelihood of any conflict with the EASY4Rust as it does the job of removing the rust.
 

EASY4Rust will turn purple as it works, it then needs to be washed down thoroughly afterwards. Your stone will be returned to it’s original colour. Problem Solved!
